Commuters face delays to their journeys throughout this evening rush hour after a failure at Shoebury.
Train services running across the whole c2c network may be revised after the points failure in south Essex, with the line currently blocked.
Disruption is expected through this evening until 8.30pm, according to the c2c website.

A spokesman for c2c shared: "Due to a points failure at Shoebury the line is blocked. Train services running across the whole c2c network may be revised."
A number of trains between Fenchurch Street and Shoebury have been delayed or cancelled this evening.
Anyone whose journey has been disrupted by more than 15 minutes may be entitled to cash compensation.
