A charity shop raising money for seriously ill children from across Essex will be holding a Christmas Fun Day next weekend.

On Saturday 5th December the Little Havens Hospice charity shop in The Vineyards, Great Baddow, will have a visit from Santa for its annual festive fun day. The popular annual event sees the shop transformed into a winter wonderland complete with its own grotto where children can visit Santa.

The fun kicks off from 10am until 3pm and there will be festive entertainment inside the shop including a tombola, raffle, games and much more. Outside of the shop there will also be a display of classic cars.

Shop Manager Sharon Davison, who has worked at the store for five years, said, “Each Christmas all the staff and volunteers here embrace the festive season and invite everyone to come and join us, to meet Father Christmas and to take part in our raffle and games. We’ll all be dressed in our best Christmas outfits and hope you will be too!”

“The care provided at Little Havens is completely free of charge, and that’s only possible thanks to the people who support our shop by donating or purchasing goods, and of course by volunteering. The hospice cares for babies, children and teenagers with a life-limiting illness by controlling pain, offering respite and caring at the end of their lives. We hope that lots of people will join us on the day and boost our fundraising in the lead up to Christmas.”
