THE FESTIVE season in Brentwood will be in full swing this Saturday as the town switches on its Christmas lights.

Festive fun and gifts will be on offer in Brentwood High Street and visitors can enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate at some of the many stalls as well as funfair rides,aSantas grotto, facepainting from noon.

Santa’s elves will also be greeting guests at the Chicken and Frog bookshop and running the Santa Hunt competition which has grea t prizes on offer .

In Crown Street, ther e will be a series of great market stalls and a stage providing even more entertainment for visitors.

The grand finale and offi - cial switch on of the lights will take place at 5pm alongside a performance from the Churches Together choir .

Shenfield’s festive Fayre in Hutton Road will be held between 1pm and 6pm with fun activities including ice skating, street performances and Christmas entertainment.
