Families escaped the rain to have a day packed with fun, activities and laughter at this year's first Brentwood Council Fun Day.
Youngsters had their faces painted, listened to stories and took part in activities such as drawing and music at the Hutton Community Centre.
More family fun days will be held on the following days:
Friday, July 31: Mountnessing Windmill
Friday, August 8: Bishops Hall Park, Pilgrims Hatch
Friday, August 14: King Georges Playing Fields
Friday, August 21: Hutton Community Centre
Friday, August 28: King Georges Playing Fields
