A bike which was meant to be used in a charity ride to raise money for children's hospital Great Ormond Street.
Police want to hear from anyone with information about the theft of the black Giant Escape hybrid bike which was stolen from North Weald Airfield.
The bike was taken by two men at around 4.30pm on Friday, July 17.
The stolen bike was custom made and had a rear Topeak cycle rack, fluorescent green panniers and a fluorescent green saddle.
Investigating officer PC Tracy Topche said: "The bike is very special to the victim as he was planning to use it for a charity ride in August from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
"If anyone knows anything about the theft or where the bike currently is then I would ask them to call me at Loughton Police Station on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
